Doctor of geological-mineralogical Sciences (1989). Professor of Department of hydrogeology (1999).
He graduated from the Kharkov state University A. Gorky (1962). From 1963 he worked at the Ukrainian research Institute of natural gases. 1992 and concurrently began teaching at the V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, and since 2010 a full time job at the University. Since 2011, the Chairman of the dissertation Council on protection of dissertations on competition of a scientific degree of candidate of geological Sciences in the field 04.00.06. – hydrogeology and 04.00.17. – Geology of oil and gas. Recently he has supervised 3 PhD theses.
Teaches courses: “Geothermics of oil and gas fields”, “Hydrogeochemistry”, “Environmental hydrogeology”, “Potable groundwater”, “History and methodology of hydrogeology”
Direction of scientific activity is devoted to hydrogeology, geothermal, thermogasdynamic, methods of quality control of natural gas. He developed the theoretical basis of the relationship geotemperature fields formation and location of oil and gas fields. Under his leadership, the industry created a comprehensive system of quality control of natural gas, developed many normative documents, methodologies, instructions. Along with the main work was expert quality gas the International gas Union (1997-2000).
The author and coauthor of more than 140 publications and 5 patents, and scientific-popular publications on natural gas of Ukraine, groundwater, local history.
