The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has introduced stricter quarantine measures in Ukraine from December 19, 2020 to February 28, 2021 in order to prevent the spread of acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.

Therefore, in accordance with the University President’s order “On Introduction of Quarantine and Restrictive Anti-Epidemic Measures” of December 18, 2020, at Karazin University, it is prohibited:

Visiting

– to stay in the University without wearing personal protective equipment, including respirators or protective masks covering the nose and mouth, including self-made ones;

– to visit the University without identity documents;

– students are not allowed to attend the University in groups of more than 20 people and in the case when more than 50% of students and the University staff are in self-isolation due to contact with a patient with a confirmed case of COVID-19;

– to place visitors in catering establishments at a distance of less than two meters between seats at adjacent tables and more than four people at the same table. Visitors must enter and move around the establishment wearing personal protective equipment, including respirators or protective masks covering the nose and mouth, including self-made ones (except when eating and/or drinking).

Culture and sports

– to hold mass events (cultural, sports, social, etc.) with the participation of more than 20 people (in the case of events with up to 20 people, the organizer ensures a physical distance of at least 1.5 meters between participants), except for activities necessary to ensure the work of public authorities and local self-government bodies, official sports events included in the Unified Calendar Plan of physical culture and sports events of Ukraine, and team sports games of professional sports clubs without spectators, on condition of observance of sanitary and anti-epidemic measures by participants and implementation of mandatory daily monitoring of their health;

– to receive visitors in museums (structural subdivisions of the University), at exhibitions, galleries, where it is not possible to limit the number of visitors in the room (one person per 10 square meters of space);

– to hold discos, activities of public catering establishments (canteens, cafeterias, buffets, etc.), in particular festive events, banquets, master classes, public events;

– to hold mass events (performances, holidays, concerts) with the participation of more than one group of children and with the presence of spectators (visitors);

– activities of gyms, fitness centers, which do not provide the opportunity to limit the number of visitors in the room (one person per 20 square meters of the total area).

In addition to the above restrictions, from 00:00 on January 8, 2021 to 00:00 on January 25, 2021, it is prohibited:

– to receive visitors at gyms, fitness centers, pools, except for athletes of national teams of Ukraine and their coaches on condition of observance of corresponding sanitary and anti-epidemic measures;

– to hold all mass (entertainment, sports, social, advertising, and others) events, New Year and Christmas celebrations (without concerts and fairs, including food ones), official sports events included in the Unified Calendar Plan of physical culture and sports events of Ukraine, and team sports games of professional sports clubs without spectators, on condition of observance of sanitary and anti-epidemic measures by participants and implementation of mandatory daily monitoring of their health;

– to receive visitors in cultural and entertainment subdivisions;

– the work of public catering establishments;

– students’ attendance of the University.

In the period from January 11 through January 22, 2021, it is recommended that the University employees move to an online (home) work mode, except for employees for whom it is impossible to work online due to the nature of tasks they perform, and employees involved in ensuring the functioning of the University.
