On October 20, 2021, the associate professor passed away
Department of Hydrogeology Chomko Fedor Vasilyevich.
Fedor Vasilyevich graduated from Kharkiv State University. OHM. Gorky with honors (1973). He worked in the laboratory of engineering hydrogeology of the State Research Institute of Ukrvodgeo. From 1976 he worked at the university (head of the laboratory of modeling of hydrogeological processes, senior lecturer, associate professor). Since 2003 he has been acting Deputy Head of the Department of Hydrogeology.
He taught courses: “Introduction to the specialty”, “Fundamentals of hydrogeology and engineering geology”, “Groundwater dynamics”, “Special sections in hydrogeology”, “Methods of hydrogeological and engineering-geological research”, “Hydrogeological forecasting”, “Osn. water management and organization of drinking water supply ”,“ Protection of groundwater from pollution and depletion ”,“ Groundwater treatment methods ”,“ Hydrogeology of Ukraine ”.
Author and co-author of more than 100 scientific papers.
The staff of the department expresses its sincere condolences to the family of Chomko Fedor Vasilyevich. May the earth be his down, and may the memory remain for a long time in the hearts of colleagues, students, friends, all who knew this high-ranking and intelligent man.
