On October 21, 2021, Professor of the Department of Hydrogeology, Professor of the Department of Socio-Economic Geography and Regional Studies, Honored Professor of VN Karazin Kharkiv National University, Editor-in-Chief of the specialized scientific publication “Bulletin of VN Karazin Kharkiv National University:” Geology – Geography – Ecology» Konstantin Arkadyevich Nemets.
Konstantin Arkadyevich was born on January 16, 1948 in the village of Gorodnitsa of the Zhytomyr region. In 1965 he entered the Faculty of Geology and Geography of Gorky Kharkiv State University. In 1970 he received a diploma of geological engineer, hydrogeologist with honors, continued his studies in graduate school and began working at the department. In 1979 he successfully defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences. In 2006 – doctoral dissertation in economic and social geography.
For many years of his professional activity, Konstantin Arkadyevich was associated with the VN Karazin Kharkiv National University. From 1995 to 2010 he headed the Faculty of Geology and Geography, worked at the departments of hydrogeology and socio-economic geography and regional studies. From 1995 to 2011 he was the head of the Department of Hydrogeology.
He was one of the first in hydrogeological science to start modeling methods, he started a number of new methods and techniques based on a synergetic approach.
Konstantin Arkadyevich is the author and co-author of more than 200 scientific publications with a high citation index.
